Nail polishes from left to right: Essie ‘Private Weekend,’ Essie ‘Ballet Slippers,’ Essie ‘Barefoot and Topless,’ RGB ‘Blush,’ Essie ‘Sand Tropez’
This summer I rediscovered how therapeutic the self-manicure is, as well as how much I adore a neutral color palette. Essie is a clear favorite brand of mine. In fact, Essie’s “Ballet Slippers” was the first member of my nail polish collection back in middle school (I have since used up the bottle and repurchased it — shown above). This summer I also dove into the world of five-free nail polishes — specifically RGB Cosmetics nail polish colors and ten over ten‘s base and top coats. So far, RGB’s “Blush” is the only neutral five-free polish I have. However, I recently purchased RGB’s “Oxblood” which I’m looking forward to wearing plenty this fall and winter!
Speaking of neutral nails, here are five new takes on the nude nail courtesy of Estée Lauder and Olive & June, a nail salon in Beverly Hills.
What are your favorite nail polish brands and colors? I’d love to hear some suggestions to try out!
